BRIDGEWATER

BETHEL
-Concerning retention of the conveyance tax for municipalities, individualized lobbying letters from the HVCEO chair were mailed to the 169 municipal leaders in the state.
-Staff reviewed the new transportation and infrastructure chapter of the revised town plan and provided written comments.
-The Council approved a letter of comment concerning the purchase of the Bogus Farm in Bethel, urging its purchase as part of the regional growth management strategy.
-Staff corresponded with the Bethel Health Department concerning the draft plan of conservation and development.
-Arrangements were made for involvement in an upcoming Route 6 Stony Hill corridor plan.
-Steve Palmer of Bethel PZC provided comments for the transportation plan update.
-A report comparing union wages in the area was produced and distributed, with an explanatory seminar.
-A federally required update of the Regional Transportation Plan was completed in order to qualify the municipality for federal funding.
-As requested by DEP, information from the DEP concerning open space grants was forwarded to the chief elected official
